i am new to the system so this may have been answered somewhere b4.
i understand that g.m. ng's greatx3 uncle was jin ho. i was wondering how the chinese ring daggers were kept alive in the system? since they were used to try to assassinate the emperor.also how and why did master pickens decide to pick up the ring daggers? i am certainly glad he did,as this has been an eye opening seminar and i can't wait for more. i like the fact that the ng system has a specialty weapon and it is a mostly unheard of weapon.

Well, (in my opinion) our sigung has some outstanding knowledge and some of the purest and most practical ideas towards high skill development. How he's gotten knowledge of some of the things he pocess, I'm not for sure, but non-of-the-less he has it.

I can't speak for Master Pickens but I believe it has to deal with the deadly aspects and usage of the ring daggers. He stated at the seminar that he got into arts he trained in for specific purposes and learned the knife and ring daggers for a specific purpose...during that time in his life. I believe that they are held in high standards for their practical application towards knife combat (especially multiple opponents) and for the rare knowledge of their usage.

They are awesome weapons and another seminar will be planned in the future, leaning towards unlocking more hidden features and principles surrounding the daggers.
Take care.

Well, looks like we have to wait until the book is released before a seminar can be planned. I know that Master Pickens and Sifu Scott Harris plan on doing some more and following up with the previous one. Master Pickens says he plans on blowing some doors wide open...so after April 2009, it'll be an interesting run with some of the ring dagger information. Just will take a little while for the next one to be set up.

Great articles in the October issue of Inside Kung Fu. Nice article on Ring Daggers. There's even mention of Master Rick's original book. I'm seeing more and more ring daggers in magazine articles.

Master Pickens has talked with the editors at Paladin Press after Eric sent us the articles and that has started to get things moving! The book will definitely be out within the 2010 year. No month is set but it is scheduled to be out next year.

I'm happy! Can't wait to see my teachers book out in the public! Very Happy

Yeah it is a good video. I believe Scotty, Rodney, and Shane (Beliles) did a good job on shooting the video. Nice quality material.
